It can be difficult to truly acknowledge all parts of ourselves—especially the parts that carry discomfort, uncertainty, or shame. Our experiences, relationships, culture, environment, and the messages we receive throughout our lives can all shape the way we see ourselves. Over time, it can become difficult to separate who we truly are from what we have experienced or what we have come to believe about ourselves.

At our core, many of us want to feel seen, heard, understood, and connected. Yet experiences such as mental health challenges, stress, relationship conflict, addiction, grief and loss, oppression, prejudice, discrimination, and major life transitions can make it difficult to find clarity in who we are, what matters to us, and what we hope for our lives.

Therapy offers a space to begin exploring these questions with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment. At times, this work can feel uncomfortable. Together, we can gently explore the experiences, patterns, beliefs, and barriers that may no longer be serving you, while creating space to reconnect with your values, your identity, and what matters most to you.

I believe therapy should be collaborative and responsive to you. It may look different from one session to the next, and there is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. Curiosity, vulnerability, making mistakes, asking questions, and even bringing a sense of humour into the room are all welcome. You do not have to do therapy “perfectly.”

My role is not to tell you who to become or what choices to make. You are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offer support and perspective, and help create a space where you can better understand yourself and move toward the life you want to build. It is a privilege to be invited into that process, and I recognize the trust it can take to share your story with someone new.

My educational background includes bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Social Work, as well as a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches so that our work can be tailored to your individual needs, experiences, and goals.

I particularly value approaches that help you reconnect with your body through somatic and mindfulness-based practices; recognize you as the author of your own story through narrative and person-centred approaches; develop practical and adaptable tools through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); and explore attachment, family, cultural, trauma, and intergenerational patterns. I also value relational and compassion-focused approaches that honour our shared humanity and the importance of genuine connection within the therapeutic relationship.

Above all, I believe therapy is something we do together. I welcome your feedback, your questions, and your perspective. I am continually learning from the people I have the privilege of working alongside, and I want our time together to feel meaningful, respectful, and genuinely supportive of what you need.

And perhaps most importantly, I hope you remember this:

You are enough, and you matter in this world.

Choosing to begin therapy can be one way of reminding yourself of that truth. You are choosing to make space for yourself, your story, your healing, and the possibility of what comes next. I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
