Katelyn Farquharson, BA, MC (Intern)
Individual & Family Therapist
Hi, I'm Katelyn! From an early age, I have felt a strong calling to support others in navigating life's challenges. This passion has only deepened through my academic journey. At the heart of my values is the belief that every person deserves connection, understanding, and compassion. I believe that no one should have to face their challenges alone, and as a counsellor, my goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and valued for who they are. Additionally, I deeply value the pursuit of meaning and purpose. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and create fulfilling lives. I recognize the complexity of human experiences and see that few things in life are simply black or white. I actively work to embrace nuance and approach each individual's story with empathy, understanding, and cultural humility.
I believe that life is complex and that people are shaped by their unique experiences, identities, and environments. There is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. As a counsellor, I view my role not as someone who directs or enforces healing, but as someone who walks alongside clients, supporting them as they find their own way. This belief guides my commitment to offering a non-judgmental, client-centered approach that honours each individual's journey.
