I chose psychology as my career 20 years ago because I believed it would shape both my professional and personal life-and over time, I've come to understand something even deeper: that healing is possible. Today, after having the opportunity to immigrate to Canada, I'm grateful to finally be in a place where I can support individuals living with depression and anxiety. I still remember a question from one of my undergraduate exams: "Can depression be cured by psychotherapy alone?" Even now, I return to that question-not just academically, but through the real stories and lived experiences of the people I meet, and through my own personal journey-continually discovering that while healing may not look the same for everyone, it is always possible.

I believe that supporting individuals, families, and children through mental and emotional challenges should be accessible, warm, and genuinely human. As an immigrant myself, I am especially passionate about helping others who are navigating new cultures, identities, and uncertainties. My hope is to create a space where people struggling with depression, anxiety, or life transitions feel validated, heard, and understood.

I practice from a person‑centered lens, meeting each person with respect, curiosity, and authenticity. I value the cultural backgrounds, identities, and belief systems that shape who we are, and I strive to honour each client's lived experiences. As a practicum student, I will be working under external supervision, so I will have added support, and will learn more about emotion-focused approaches.

If you are looking for someone who will value your ethnicity, your story, and your inner strengths-and support you as you learn to cope and heal-I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey!
