Finding Comfort, Connection & Hope through life's most difficult seasons
Grief changes us. And sometimes, one of the hardest parts of losing someone we love is learning how to navigate a world that feels so different without them.
There is no instruction manual for grief. No timeline for healing. No right or wrong way to feel.
Some days, the memories bring comfort and smiles. Other days, the smallest reminder can bring overwhelming sadness. You may feel lonely, angry, exhausted, confused, or unsure of how to move forward when life around you seems to carry on.
And sometimes, what we need most is simply to be surrounded by people who understand.
At Stick & Stone Counselling Services, we believe no one should have to navigate grief alone.
We are honoured to introduce Finding Our Way Through Grief, a heartfelt weekly support group created for individuals who are navigating the loss of someone they love.
This group offers a warm, compassionate, and welcoming space where you can share your experiences, honour your loved one, find meaningful connection, and discover that even in the midst of profound loss, there can still be moments of comfort, hope, and healing.
💚 A Place to Feel Heard, Understood & Supported
Through meaningful conversations, shared experiences, gentle reflection, and supportive activities, participants will have opportunities to:
🌿 Understand the Journey of Grief – Explore the many emotions and experiences that accompany loss, recognizing that everyone's journey is unique.
💚 Find Connection & Understanding – Connect with others who understand the loneliness, heartache, and challenges that can come with losing someone you love.
🕊️ Honour Your Loved One – Create space for memories, stories, traditions, and the meaningful connections that continue beyond loss.
🌷 Navigate Life After Loss – Explore changes in identity, relationships, routines, and the difficult process of adjusting to life without someone who meant so much.
💕 Develop Tools for Difficult Days – Discover gentle, practical ways to navigate overwhelming emotions, anniversaries, holidays, and unexpected reminders.
✨ Rediscover Hope & Meaning – Find encouragement in knowing that while grief may always be part of your story, moments of joy, connection, and meaning can still exist alongside it.
You Don't Have to Have the Right Words. You Just Have to Come as You Are.
We understand that joining a grief group can feel overwhelming, especially when you're already carrying so much.
You don't need to be ready to share your story. You don't need to hold back your tears. And you certainly don't need to pretend you're doing better than you are.
Whether your loss was recent or happened many years ago, your grief deserves compassion, understanding, and care.
Our hope is that this group becomes a place where you can take off the brave face, find comfort in the company of others, share a few tears or even a little laughter, and feel supported through the many seasons of grief.
Because healing doesn't mean forgetting.
It doesn't mean moving on from someone you love.
Sometimes, healing means learning how to carry their memory with you while gently finding your way forward.

You Are Not Alone in This Journey. 💚
We would be honoured to welcome you into a community where your experiences matter, your loved one is remembered, and your grief is met with compassion rather than expectations.
There is no deadline for grief. No expectation to move on. Just a gentle invitation to find connection, understanding, and hope, one day at a time.
Because love doesn't end when someone dies. And neither does the importance of having people to walk alongside us.
