Coralie Blum BSW, MACPC (Intern) Individual & Family Therapist
Welcome to Stick & Stone Counselling Services!
My name is Coralie, and I would be honoured to journey alongside you. I consider it a privilege to walk with individuals who are experiencing suffering, offering support that fosters hope, healing, and growth.
My experience in social work has primarily been in crisis response, where I witnessed firsthand the incredible capacity of the human spirit to overcome adversity and tragedy.
The reality for many people is that life can be challenging. The ancient Japanese practice of Kintsugi speaks deeply to both my professional outlook and personal experience. In this practice, broken pottery is carefully repaired, with its cracks highlighted and reinforced with gold. Rather than hiding the damage, Kintsugi celebrates it, symbolizing beauty, uniqueness, and resilience.
Challenges and circumstances we would never choose can become the landscape for growth, shaping our character and life purpose.
My therapeutic framework is grounded in a whole-person, client-centred philosophy. I believe in addressing all aspects of a person's well-being, including the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions. As a Christian, I am able to integrate faith into the counselling process for those who desire this approach.
As an intern clinician, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) modalities and neuroscience-informed principles in my work. My clinical supervisor provides ongoing oversight and support to ensure quality care for every client.
I honour the courage it takes to reach out for support and look forward to meeting each person who enters my counselling space.
