Being a mom of a child with diverse needs can take a toll on your mental health. Did you know the stress hormone, cortisol, in mothers of autistic children can mirror those of combat veterans? Constantly being in a state of fight or flight is exhausting. You put so much of yourself into caring for your child, but who is caring for you? Many warrior moms struggle with anxiety, grief, and isolation – but you don't have to carry it alone.
This fall, we invite you to join our Moms Support Group, a place to connect with other mothers walking a similar path. Together, we will create a supportive community and explore psychoeducational topics such as coping with anxiety, mindfulness, anger management, and recognizing negative thought patterns. We are here to help you gain valuable tools to support your well-being and create lasting connections with other moms.
