Deana Chunick BSW, RSW
Individual & Family Therapist Registered Social Worker
My commitment to helping people is rooted in a deep respect for human resilience-especially when life has been shaped by trauma, illness, loss, or systemic barriers. With over more than 15 years in the human service field, I have walked alongside children, youth, adults, and families during some of their most vulnerable moments, bearing witness to both pain and profound strength. I believe healing happens when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported without judgment.
As a clinical counsellor and social worker, my approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and evidence-based practice. I draw on extensive experience in medical social work, mental health, addictions, and crisis response, working collaboratively with clients to build safety, restore dignity, and foster meaningful change. Like the idea behind stick and stone, I honour both the softness required for care and the strength needed to endure-supporting individuals as they reconnect with their inner resources and move forward with clarity, hope, and purpose.
